To supervise a learner driver, the supervising passenger must:
- Be over 21 years in age
- Have held a current and valid licence for at least three years
- Have a licence issued in the UK, EU or EEC
The supervising passenger must be qualified to drive the type of vehicle that the learner is practising in (i.e. an automatic licence holder cannot supervise someone in a manual vehicle.)
The supervisor does not have to be the vehicle owner
In addition to the supervising passenger, you can carry additional passengers in the vehicle.
Please note: Our Policy Booklet states that the Supervising Passenger must be over 25. However, this is in the process of being amended. For clarity, the Supervising Passenger on your Veygo Learner Driver Insurance must be at least 21.
